In Network Kildare, this year, our ambitions are to build on all the great progress we achieved to-date, we all know networking has now become a useful marketing tool for our businesses, but also we can be a great support to each other in these tough economic times, as Rita, our 2010 President, said ‘a supportive family’, and family looks after each other.
For 2011, I have great HOPE, I think we all have to have hope and confidence In our own strength and ability to overcome the many negatives that we as business women, as daughters, as partners, as parents, as siblings have had to endure and watch others around us suffer through. Such as business closures, redundancies, stress/illnesses. We are so resilient, our ability to cope and lift ourselves and bounce back from adversity, I think we find a strength we didn’t realise existed. It is this belief and energy that I think will lift us out of this recession
I am looking forward to crossing new boundaries with you this year and having fun in the process.

- I would like to extend our welcome to new members from surrounding counties, Kildare is such a large county, we need to let business women in north, south, east and west Kildare, know that our organisation exists, you would be amazed at the amount people who still have not heard of our organisation, in 2011 we are going to change all that. It may mean as members, we may have to get a bit more mobile, but it has many benefits and more networking opportunities as new members join us from surrounding districts. For example Laois business women are very keen to affiliate with us. Let’s spread the message.
- To use our new website as a marketing & information tool for our members.
- Continue to Build our Branch profile and to make our voice heard more as an established vibrant organisation
- Build and embrace our affiliations with other organisations
- PR – Continue to work on our relationships with the local media.
- Keep an open mind in relation to our venues for events and happy to try new ideas/suggestions, all members are so welcome to participate.
